Try Mermaid

Have you ever dreamed of becoming a mermaid?

Join the SSI Try Mermaid program and make your dreams come true! You will complete a mermaid experience with an SSI professional in a pool/confined waters and learn entry-level mermaid skills, including swimming with a mermaid monofin. Earn your SSI Try Mermaid recognition rating. It is the perfect program to do before joining our SSI Mermaid course!

Facts and Training Standards:

Class Schedule – 1 Academic Brief, 1 In-Water Session (30 min) with a Certified SSI Mermaid Instructor (1 hour total)

Course Includes – 1 Rental Monofin (Tail Skins sold separately)

Minimum age for participation – 6 years old   (Recommended minimum age is 8 years old.)

*Mermaids should be comfortable in water too deep to stand, and able to swim at least 50 feet without the use of a floatation device.

*Photography of any kind is not permitted in this course, however a photo opportunity will be provided after completion of the course.

*Mermaids are welcome to bring their own monofins and tail skins, however it is at the discretion of the instructor as to whether students may use their own equipment in-water. Give us a call to inquire about what personal equipment is allowed in this program.

Upon completion, mermaids will receive the SSI Try Mermaid recognition rating.
