DESCRIPTION:“Over the years\, you all have taken some truly stunning photos from under the water\, here at beautiful old Kenneth Quarry at France Park. \nThere is just something truly impressive about the art of underwater photography… \n  \nWe loved your entries from last year’s contests\, and have decided to put bragging rights back on the table again in May 2026! \nLast year’s winner had their photo featured on our digital sign board at the shop all season. \n  \nHow it works: \nGo diving at France Park (old Kenneth Quarry) any weekend in the month of May (through end of Memorial Day Weekend)\, and take your best underwater snap shots! \nTake your photos any of the following weekends in 2026: \n( Extra weekend to get your best shots in 2026!) \n  \nMay 2nd and 3rd \nMay 9th and 10th \nMay 16th and 17th \nMay 23rd and 24th \nMay 30th and 31st \n  \nThen\, choose (no more than two) of your best shots\, and email them to support@diveindy.com by the end of the contest date \n(11:59pm EST on Sunday\, May 31st\, 2026) with the following information: \n\nFull Name (Will be displayed on the photo if no caption or watermark has already been added)\nEmail and Phone Number\nDate that photo was taken\nBrief description or caption for the photo\, other relevant information\nAcceptable formats for photo submission are: JPEG\, PNG\, or PDF (No raw images)\nFinal Date To Email Your Photos is: Sunday\, May\, 31st at 11:59pm EST. \n\n________________________ \nAll photos will then be shared via Instagram and Facebook\, starting at: \n8:00PM EST on Monday\, June 1st through 8:00PM EST on Friday\, June 5th.  \nThe photo with the most combined Instagram AND Facebook likes will be featured as the wallpaper on our social media page (with full artist credit of course) for the entire month of June\, AND have their photo featured at our shop for the entire summer\, so that everyone can appreciate our local underwater talent. \nWinner will also receive a “goodie bag” from the shop! \nSecond and third place positions will also receive a shout out. \nWe are putting the judging in the public’s hands\, so get creative! \n  \nFull Photo Contest Rules: \nEligibility: \n\nPhotos must be taken in-water\, at France Park (formerly Old Kenneth Quarry)\, during one of the listed weekends in May of this year’s contest.\nAny professional or amateur photographers may submit entries for this contest.\nMinimum age to participate is 10 years old. Minors must have a parents consent to participate.\nDiving photographers and subjects must be minimum open water certified. Freedivers must also have equivalent training from a recognized agency and a buddy with equivalent level of training. Mermaids follow same guidelines as Freedivers.\n Photos may feature divers\, wildlife\, attractions\, or interesting features\, et…\nPhotos engaging in any unsafe behavior\, poor environmental practice\, or harassing wildlife will be disqualified.\n\nSubmission Guidelines:  \n\nPhotos only. No videos.\nMaximum of 2 entries per participant.\nPhotos may have basic digital editing and color correction\, but no AI\, heavy manipulation\, or composite images will be accepted.\nAll participants who submit photos are confirming that they have read all of the complete rules and guidelines for the contest.\nWatermark or caption with artist info can be added\, but must not distract from the photo.\nBy submitting entries\, participants also confirm that they own the rights to their photos and that they have not been copied in any way from another artists work.\nBy submitting\, participants also understand and agree that photos will be shared on social media and other channels by the shop (credit given to the artists if no watermark or caption is added) and potentially for marketing purposes.\nParticipants DO still retain full ownership of their photos and may request that they be removed at any time.\n\nJudging Criteria:  \n\nJudging will be done by way of “likes” on social media channels Facebook and Instagram between the following dates: 8:00pm EST on Monday\, May 26th\, through 8:00pm EST on Friday\, May 30th\, 2026.\nThe photo with the most combined likes between both Facebook and Instagram at the close of the above date is declared the overall winner. (Second and third place will also receive a shout out.)\nThe overall photo winner will have their photo featured on Indy Dive Center social media pages in the month of June\, and have their photo featured on-site at France Park\, so that all park-goers can see their photo. With this program\, you can try a variety of specialties before committing to full specialty programs. DESCRIPTION:If you cannot decide which specialty programs are the best choice for you\, join the SSI Advanced Adventurer program! With this program\, you can try a variety of specialties before committing to full specialty programs. It is a great way to experience what advanced diver training is all about and how valuable it can be to your diving adventures. \nDuring the Advanced Open Water Diver Program\, you will try out 5 different specialties. You will complete one open water training dive per specialty after a comprehensive briefing with your SSI Instructor. \nWith this trial program in specialty diving\, you will have total freedom to explore. \nOUR Advanced Adventurer certifications will at least include: 1 Perfect Buoyancy Session\, 1 Limited Visibility Session\, 1 Navigation Session\, 1 Deep Session\, and 1 Alternate (Wreck\, etc..). Contact us about specific class dates. \n  \nOnce completed\, students will be issued the Advanced Adventurer Certification from SSI. \nThis certification is the equivalent certification to “Advanced Open Water Certification” with similar recognized agencies. \n  \nYou can complete the full specialty programs any time in the future and credit your Advanced Open Water training towards them! \nTRAINING PREREQUISITES: \nMinimum Open Water Diver Certified \nMedically fit for diving \nMinimum Age: Age: 12 years old \n  \nNote: Classes to be held at certain locations may be subject to additional costs. \nStudents should have all applicable equipment for the applicable training environments. \nRecommended equipment for all classes includes: SMB\, Flashlight\, Cylinder light\, and Applicable thermal protection. \n(Typically minimum 7mm wetsuits is required unless training out of our region.)

DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 12th Annual International Women’s Dive Day on July 18th\, 2026!  \nOriginally created by PADI\, Women’s Dive Day has become an international phenomenon in it’s 12-year history and is celebrated by all. \nOver the years\, this widely celebrated event has brought divers and water enthusiasts together from across the globe to celebrate women’s contributions to the sport of scuba diving\, as well as diversity and inclusion in our aquatic world. \n“EVERYONE is welcome”  \nWe will be playing funky beach tunes and making new dive buddies all day. \n  \n8:00am – Event Starts \nWe will start the day right off at 8am with Try Scubas and Mermaids! \n12:00pm – Cake and snacks provided. \nDivers and mermaids are welcome to bring snacks to share. \n1:00pm – Meet a buddy dives \nWe will have a fun “Meet a buddy” game. Come mix things up\, meet a new buddy\, and go for a dive. \n3:00pm – Dive with the mermaids at the platform! \nCALLING ALL MERMAIDS! \nCertified mermaids will have a chance to go for a short swim out to our training platforms for some photos and a chance to say hello! \nMake sure to wave to the beach goers. \n4:00pm – End of Event
