Ocean Mermaid – Class

Get started today and earn your SSI Ocean Mermaid certification. Note: This course consists of open water training for students who have already completed the Mermaid Certification course.

Facts and Training Standards:

Students must already have the SSI Mermaid Certification to enroll in this course. (Or comparable certification from a recognized training agency.)

Minimum age for participation – 12 years old (Children between 6-12 years old are encouraged to take the SSI Try Mermaid program)

Mermaids should be fit to swim and comfortable in deep water prior to enrolling in this course.

Must pass the Mermaid Student Fitness evaluation. (Swim 55 yards with no swim or buoyancy aids and 5 minute survival float/tread)

Mermaids are required to have their own mask, snorkel, and monofin for this course.
