Straits of Mackinac Dive Trip June 27th, 2010

I have scheduled a 2 tank dive on the Straits of Mackinac out of Burnham Harbor in Chicago. The dives are scheduled for Sunday, June 27, 2010. We will make the morning dive. The Mac was sunk on April 10, 2003, as an artificial reef just a few miles off of the Chicago skyline. The wreck rests in about 80 feet of water. The wreck can be dived by novice through technical divers. The ship is penetrable for all divers with the proper training and correct equipment. I am conducting a PADI Wreck Diving Specialty and these are the final 2 dives of the course. We are conducting the first two dives either here at Blue Springs (I know, I know, I hate going to Blue springs since they charge an arm and a leg but the cabin cruiser is a doable dive) or preferably dive Haigh Quarry and the Pelican on Saturday. We will stay in Kankakee or drive to Chicago and stay there. For those who wish just to dive the Mac we will link-up at Burnham Harbor on Sunday. What is the cut off for this? We are interested, but are unsure if we can fit it in right now.

I probably will not cut off til I have enough divers to fill the boat about 10. I do need to get a deposit in soon though. I will return any deposit if you cannot make the trip. A depost of $20.00 per diver is good.

Really glad you decided to come along. It is going to be 2 great dives. Don't take your money into the shop since the trip is not going through the facility. I will call Cpt. Bob and ask about the down payment and when he wants the payment.

I'll put a deposit down, but not sure yet of my family schedule around the same time. Lot of questions now. Is there a group caravaning that morning? Can I hitch a ride? Or will it be better off going up the day before?
